Last year, Clay and I visited the Hollywood Wax Museum Castle Of Chaos, again, and it was a ton of fun! We’ve been a few times just the 2 of us and as a large family group. We love visiting when we get the chance. We didn’t travel much last year but were lucky enough to get away, just the two of us, for Valentine’s Day. We also used the opportunity to do a late celebration of our anniversary.
November 2022 marked 26 years married but we were dealing with illness, practically no money and a bunch of other issues so we didn’t get a chance to celebrate, which was pretty depressing. It was the first time in a long time we hadn’t done, at least, something for our anniversary. We were offered free tickets to the Hollywood Wax Museum as part of a blogging promo so, for last year’s Valentine’s Day, we decided to take a little honeymoon of sorts and just regroup.
It was wonderful and relaxing! We visited a couple museums, walked the Gatlinburg Strip and relaxed in the hot tub at our cabin rental. I originally posted about our trip over on Cinnamon Hollow, but, the Hollywood Wax Museum discount tickets are still available so I wanted to share over here for you all as well! This is our main travel site, now, so I’ll be moving/adding content from there, here, in the coming weeks.
There are tons of photo opportunities at the Hollywood Wax Museum and I ended up taking over 200 photos! Don’t worry, I didn’t add all of them here.
Over the years, my family and I have visited the Hollywood Wax Museum Pigeon Forge a few times. It’s one of our favorite places to visit, especially on rainy or overly hot/cold days when we still want to get out of the cabin and have some vacation fun.
They change the figurines around throughout the year and add new ones on occasion. The Post Malone wax figure was new to us. I loved being able to get an up-close look at his tattoos. I’d never stare at him in real life but I’ve always been curious as to the designs he has. This was a great way to get a good look without seeming rude! 😂
Most of the figures look spot-on. A few had some facial features that seemed a bit off but, for the most part, they look exactly like their celebrity!
There are a lot of photo props and selfie opportunities throughout the Hollywood Wax Museum. Posing with wax celebrities is so much fun. Just don’t touch the actual figures.
After you visit the museum, be sure to check out Castle Of Chaos next door. Included in your full pass, it offers a 7D game ride, mirror maze, break out game and more. It is in a giant castle building to the left of the wax museum.
The game ride is one of my favorites. The chairs vibrate and move and mist sprays you if you’re playing a game with water. You can shoot zombies and save the day on this fun ride. These types of games are one of my favorite things to do when we travel. Our daughters and I love to compete against each other to see who can get the most hits. It’s also fun when other families are playing at the same time. I’ve seen really small kids win against their parents. It is super fun to see who gets the most!
If you love interactive museums, another place Clay and I have visited, and can’t wait to take the kids to, is Beyond The Lens. This is also a museum with a lot of reading and tons of selfies and photo opportunities. We visited it the same weekend and plan on taking the kids back on our next family trip. There is a Fly ride there as well. You sit in your chairs (side by side) and soar through the air in a virtual ride. You will see oceans, mountains, city-scapes and more. While soaring, you’ll smell aromatics and even feel mist on your face! It was so much fun! Check out our post here.
